John Henrik Clarke short film:The Boy Who Painted Christ Black

Aaron was the smartest boy in his school Muskogee County school for colored children, his teacher said that he was a talented boy and an excellent student, one day Aaron made a beautiful painting; he painted a black Christ, all the students are surprise because they did not understand why Aaron  painted a Christ like that, in that moment Aaron  was surprised because he said that Christ can be black or white skin, after that his teacher said with the director of school called Jorge and he showed the painting that Aaron made; the director was a racist person because he did not agree with showed the painting in a students meeting. time later the teacher decided to show the beautiful painting that Aaron had done supporting  the talent of him. 

In the story John Henrik Clarke short film, the Boy who Painted Christ Black a talent 8 year old boy Aaron created a beautiful, jet controversial painting  that simulate a debate over morals an ethics and how to stand up against adversity and prejudice of racist people. I think that the picture of black  Christ is a symbol, it symbolizes the right to paint  with your own identity instead of letting others paint it for you, my other opinion of this film is the remarkable discrimination and stereotypes in the image of God because of the social media and generally to  the story. I think this movie is a good way to approach the situation of discrimination before and the respect that should be encouraged now.

the situation of racism in my city is not very serious because in my city have a lot of types of races and for that reason I think that this problematic is not serious here, however Colombian people sometimes they make racist jokes that may offend but I think that now people have more respect for these issues, and the rights currently are more respected. 

The person who has changed the world

She has not done any changes in the world but she has done many in our country, she was born in Medellin and she's 34 years. she has dedicated her life for the defense of animals because when she was a child she freed to the frogs that were going to be subjected to experimentation  in that moment she understood that she wished to help animals for the rest of her life.

She really has a way with words because she has led a lot of initiatives and she really has a way with people because she has been a host in a program named  " let's talk about dogs" in that program she show the problematic of homeless dogs for that reason she has a knack languages because She expressed her  ideas very well when she was presenting this program.

 She has created a platform for the defense of animals named "Alto" with a group of activists and the same time with a support and tutoring of Franz Weber foundation She has organized a group in the senate of our country that support law projects for example : she achieved that the violence against animals can be penalized, She has proposed that the bullfighting been eliminate, in 2017 the animal protect center was inaugurated improving the lives of many animals that are on the street; thanks to this group in the  homes of step homeless people can enter with their pets and their pets receive care and food. she also has led a lot of indicatives in a environmental topics for example: pollution and trees felling. 

I admire Natalia because she has done many things to improve the situation of animals and the environment in our country even though she has not changed the world I think she could do it because she is very persevering and has fought hard for this cause.

My  learning process

I consider that my learning process has been good since I have practiced many things that I have forgotten but I have still lacked much to improve such as my vocabulary and shyness because this haven´t  allowed me to complete sentences when I am speaking; However, I have practiced with my mother, I speak  with her and I learming new vocabulary.  I am too shy and sometimes I think that this don´t allow to show that I know about English.

The canterville ghost

• The author is: Oscar Wilde
• The main chacarters: Simon Canterville, the Otis family Hirman Otis (dad), Lucrecia (mother),   Washington (older brother), Virginia (middle sister), and twins (younger                                      sons), Mrs Umney ( the housekeeper).

The story started because the Otis family needed buy a castle of carterville family. That family warned them that there was a ghost it this house, for that reason they stopped living there, but the Otis family buy this castle. The Otis family arrived to castle and met with Umney and they saw a boold stain on the floor; the housekeeper said that Simon had killed Leonor his wife. That night the ghost

appeared making noise with his chains, Hirman saw him and offered oil for his chains doesn`t making noise so, the gohst was frightened. 

The ghost always wanted to scare them but he never did it well, but it was the Otis family scared him. The twins enjoyed to  annoying the ghost so Simon tried to scared the twins but he never did it well. One day Virginia met with him and she asked him why he scared her family, and he asked her for help because he wanted to rest in peace, and he decided to take Virginia toa hidden cavern; Virginia decide to helping him and at the end of the story the ghost teached to Virginia howdeath and live is and that love is stronger than death.

The use of plastic in our life 

The use of plastic has become normal in our daily life sometimes, but sometimes we don't thinking about the consequences that it generate in the environment and the survival of species, because thousands of tons plastic pollute the oceans,  producing the dead of animals. 

A little history about plastic

Before the plastic existed, the industries used natural resins for example: bitumen and ambar, but that  materials was very expensive, for that reason the companies had to create new material. In 50s Jhon wesley hyatt created a material with some chemicals; so the plastic materials became very famous to making  for example: clothing made with nylon, artificial fiber, containers, etc.  

Consequences

The use of plastic has increased and also its impact

•  Five plastic islands have been detected: two in the Pacific, two in the Atlantic and one in the Indian ocean, but in this moment there are more. 
• Several marine species have died for ingesting plastic. 
• The chemicals in this materials contaminate the sea.

what we can do ? 
First,  the government have to establish for the use of plastic be reduced, ensure the correct management of recycling also encourage the environment care
we can reduce the use of plastic ceasing to be consumerists thinking about the damage that we can do it in a future.

•  we can have the use of cloth bags because there are very easy to get or you can have baskets when you go to buy something.
•  Don't buy disposable products, for example: straws or packaged products 
• if we buy this products you can re-use.
